KEEMA CURRY
Keema curry is a very easy and simple non-veg recipe and beginners also prepare this curry within half an hour. Keema is called in Hindi language and What is this keema and where is available this keema? etc questions rise to you. This is red meat/ mutton. if we ask the Butcher, the butcher will give boneless and finely chopped mutton. This is called keema in the Hindi language. Keema is nothing but finely chopped boneless mutton. Keema curry is very easy to prepare, beginners also prepare within half an hour.
Some parents are worried about their kids how to feed their kids the non-veg recipes. This keema curry has finely chopped pieces and this curry is the best recipe for your kids. Mutton curry increases the growth of the muscle power and bone power of the kids and we must feed non-veg recipes to the kids for rich proteins.
I prepared this Keema curry weekly once in my home. All the family members enjoyed well to eat this keema curry. This is my own style of preparation and definitely, you can try this keema curry in your home.
LET'S START TO PREPARE:
INGREDIENTS:
- Mutton - finely chopped mutton / keeema/ bone less mutton- 1KG
- Onions - 4 [big size]make 3 onions paste in the mixer jar and chopped 1 onion.
- Tomatoes - 1
- Ginger- garlic paste - 2 spoons
- Garam masala - 1 spoon
- Red chili powder -2 spoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon
- Salt - 1 1/2 spoon
- Oil - 6 spoons
- Somfu /fennel seeds - 1/4 spoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
- Ilachi/ cardamon - 2
- Curry leaves - 1
- Coriander leaves - 1 spoon
- Coriander seeds -1/2 spoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
- Fennel seeds/somfu - 1/4 spoon
- Cloves - 2
- Cinnamon - 1[ small size]
- Heat a vessel on the stove and add coriander seeds, cloves, somfu/fennel seeds, cumin seeds ,cinnamon and roast for 5 minutes in low flame.
- Switch off the stove and cool it for sometime.
- Now make a fine powder in the mixer jar.
- Masala powder is ready to use.
- Clean the keema properly and keep it in a bowl without water.
- Use finely chopped onions and onions paste both.
- Cut the tomatoes in medium pieces.
- Heat a pressure cooker on the stove and add 6 spoons of oil.
- Now add cumin seeds, somfu, ilachi/ cardamon,onion pieces, onion paste,curry leaves and roast it for two minutes.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and roast it for another three minutes.
- Now add Keema without water, add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix it well, and close it with steel plate, cook it for 10 minutes in medium flame.
- Open the lid ,add tomato pieces, add cook for ten minutes.
- Add garam masala, coriander leaves and add one glass of water into the cooker, close the cooker lid and wait for four whistles in medium flame.
- Now, switch off the stove and keep away for cooling.
- Easy mutton keema curry is ready to serve.
