EGG - LADIES FINGER CURRY/
EGG - OKRA PULUSU
Egg- okra curry or egg- bhindi curry or egg- bendakaya pulusu is one of the south Indian recipe and used with simple ingredients and very easy recipe for beginners also.
Egg- okra recipe prepared with tamarind paste,so it is called 'pulusu'.This curry is sour taste that's why it is called pulusu.Egg and lady's finger combination curry is very tasty and kids, elders and all ages of people like this egg- okra curry.we can prepare this egg- lady's finger curry with in twenty minutes.
LET'S START TO PREPARE:
INGREDIENTS:
- Eggs - 6
- Lady's finger - 12
- Onions - 2
- Tomatoes - 2
- Red chilli powder - 2spoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/2spoon
- Salt - 1 1/4 spoonspoon
- Pulusu powder - 1/2 spoon
- Tamarind - big lemon size
- Mustard seeds- 1/4 spoon
- Jeera - 1/4 spoon
- Oil - 6 spoons
- Fenugreek seeds - 10 seeds
- Curry leaves 1spoon
- Coriander leaves - 2 spoons
- Pulusu powder ingredients::
- Coriander seeds - 1 1/2spoon
- Jeera - 1/2 spoon
- Fenugreek seeds - 10 seeds
Pulusu powder Preparation:
Heat a vessel and roast the above ingredients without oil, with low flame in three minutes and switch off the stove, keep sometime for cooling it, make a fine powder in the mixer jar.
Egg- lady's finger pulusu Preparation:
- First of all boil the eggs in a water for 15 minutes and cool it for sometime , remove the shells and slightly cut the eggs with knife.
- Soak the tamarind in a glass of water and make a tamarind paste with out pulp.
- Cut the onions, tomatoes as shown in the pictures.
- Clean the lady's finger properly and cut in medium size as shown in the picture.
- Heat a big vessel or kadai and add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and after tampering add curry leaves.
- Now add onion pieces and fry it for two minutes, then add lady's finger, tomatoes.
- Close a lid, fry it for another 7 - 8 minutes in low flame.
- Add tamarind water, salt, red chilli powder, Turmeric powder and close the lid, cook it for ten minutes in medium flame.
- Open the lid ,add boiled eggs,pulusu powder in the curry and cook it for five to ten minutes.
- Finally the egg- lady's finger pulusu becomes thick gravy now add coriander leaves.
- Switch off the stove and egg- okra pulusu is ready to serve with hot steamed rice.
Egg- lady's finger pulusu is very easy Preparation and yummy recipe,beginners also learn this recipe very easy and quick.If you want try this egg- lady's finger pulusu with dosa , idly etc.
TIPS:
- Egg and ladies finger pulusu recipe is a very tasty and eat with rice & idli,dosa etc.
- This pulusu recipe are thick gravy but some people prepared just like rasam.(I had already posted Rasam recipe in my blog,if you want watch it once).
- Eggs and ladies finger taste is wonderful in this pulusu recipe.
- Don't roast too much of ladies finger.
- Egg- okra taste is great because of we roasted the ladies finger in the oil.
- Some people prepared this recipe just mix all the ingredients in a bowl and boiled it,but it is not good taste.
- Try this technics friends, you never leave the rice with this egg- bendakaya pulusu.
- Egg taste also different and your kids like this egg which is cooked in pulusu.
