BREAKFAST CHUTNEY /GROUNDNUT CHUTNEY
We know about different breakfast recipes and their best combination of chutneys like groundnut chutney, onion chutney, coconut chutney, etc. I had already posted some different types of chutneys for breakfast and for lunch like tomato chutney, raw mango chutney, tomato pickle, bhindi chutney, etc. Today I am sharing a normal breakfast chutney in a hotel-style of preparation. It has required simple ingredients and is easily available in every home. This groundnut chutney is so yummy with any breakfast like idli, dosa, vada, Pongal, etc.
LET'S START TO PREPARE BREAKFAST CHUTNEY:
INGREDIENTS:
- Groundnuts - 1 cup
- Bengal gram - 1 1/2 cups
- Green chilies - 4
- Ginger - 1 spoon ginger pieces
- Jeera/cumin seeds - 4 pinches
- Fresh coconut - 1/2 cup
- Tamarind - according to spiciness very small piece
- Asafoetida / inguva - 2 pinches
- Salt - 1/2 spoon
- Oil -3 spoons
Tampering ingredients:
- Mustard seeds -1/4 spoon
- Cumin seeds - 4 pinches
- Black gram - 1/4 spoon
- Red chilies - 2
- Curry leaves - 1spoon
- Oil - 2 spoons
PREPARATION:
- Roast the groundnuts in a vessel without oil in a low flame and remove the husk of the groundnuts.
- Take another vessel and heat the vessel, add oil, cumin seeds, green chilies and roast it in two minutes.
- Now add Bengal gram, ginger, asafoetida and roast it for two minutes.
- Add roasted groundnuts, coconut pieces, small tamarind pieces into the vessel and roast it for one minute.
- switch off the stove and leave it for some time.
- Make a fine paste of all roasted ingredients in the mixer jar.
- Transfer the groundnut chutney into another steel bowl and add the required salt, water.
Tampering:
- Heat a small vessel add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black gram, and roast it well, now add red chilies pieces, curry leaves.
- Switch off the stove, add the tampered ingredients (thiragamatha) to the chutney.
- Mix the chutney well, add some water to make the chutney texture.
- If you want add salt also.
- Tasty and easy breakfast chutney is ready to serve.
This groundnut chutney is the best combination for any type of breakfast recipe. We can't preserve this chutney, this is only one day preserve chutney. Try this groundnut chutney in a simple preparation way.
